Negativity

by Cheries
Carter-Scott, PhD

Dr. Cherie and her sister,
Lynn, are two of my most important mentors. At the start of my coaching
career, they taught me the importance of helping people find their own
answers, the answers that feel right. Cherie is internationally
recognized for her workshops and many great books on a variety of
personal growth subjects.

Please Understand Me:
Character and Temperament Types
by David Keirsey & Marilyn Bates
Description:
Rather than trying to 'change' your mate,
your coworkers or a family member, Keirsey and Bates argue that these
differences are a good thing and maintain that, not only is it
impossible to truly change others, it's much more important to
understand and affirm their differences. This book is a guide for
putting an end to trying to change others and starting on the path to
acceptance.
Sid’s
Comments:
This is a social style
profile (The Myers Briggs) which has been around for decades. The book
allows for nine people to take the test and get their score. An
interesting exercise that will help you understand some of the basic
differences in how people approach life.

Leslie Nielsen’s Stupid Little Golf
Book
by Leslie Nielsen &
Henry Beard
Description: Comedic
actor and self-proclaimed 'guru of bad golf' Leslie Nielsen and former
National Lampoon editor Henry Beard open the book with hints on the
golfer's stance, grip and sighting, all guaranteed to make you laugh but
do nothing to actually improve your game. They scoff at the notion
of taking lessons from a pro but offer up various ways of undermining a
fellow player's morale and suggest that readers always appoint
themselves scorekeeper and avoid thinking of the ball as an ailment.
Sid’s
Comments:
If you’re a golfer and
enjoy slapstick humor, this book is hilarious! It may be out of print
but there are used copies available.
